Thurston "Junior" Sylvester
August 8, 1927 ~ July 7, 2018

Junior passed away July 7, 2018 at the age of 90. Junior was born August 8, 1927 in Porterville, California, and lived in the Porterville area as a child. After he was done with school, he married Stella Thomas on July 15, 1947 in Lindsay, CA. Later, he began working for the City of Arroyo Grande in the water plant where he retired as a supervisor in the water plant. Junior enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, camping, but especially spending time with his beloved family.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Jessie Sylvester, brothers Walter and David, sister Pam, his wife of 61 years Stella and his son Kenneth.

He is survived by sisters Carmen, Betty, Sherry, Suzanne, Geraldine, and Patty; daughters Edith (husband James) Muller and Beverly (husband Charles) Huddleston; grandchildren Dale Sylvester, Dustin Sylvester (wife Chelsea), Alisa Muller, Ryan Muller (wife Kathryn) Todd Muller (wife Kara), Tracy Hochderffer and Corey Huddleston (wife Violet); great-grandchildren Beau Sylvester, Justin Condon (wife Hillary), Joshua Condon, Jordan Condon, Jacob Condon, Elisha Hochderffer, Hannah Hochderffer, Vaniah Rodriguez, Jude Yanez, Hadassah Huddleston, Jezariah Huddleston, Kraylynn Harp, Kylie Kubik, Jacoby Muller, Daisy Muller, Jameson Muller, Jonathan Muller; and one great-great granddaughter Mattilyn Condon (father Jacob Condon).

Funeral to be held in California at a future date. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
