Josh passed away Thursday, November 28th, 2013 in Osage County, Oklahoma. He was 35.

He was born September 7th, 1978 to Terry Joe Sykes and Karen Marie Hamil (Tosh). He grew up in Nowata and later attended Tulsa Welding School. Josh worked many years at Nowata Hays House as a CMA and then moved on to the pipeline in Burleson, TX where he has spent the last 3 years.

Josh is preceded in death by his mother Karen Hamil (Tosh), grandparents Lillie Marie Wishall (Tosh), Norman Chester Tosh, John Wishall, Howard and Mary Grossman and several aunts and uncles.

Josh is survived by his children Cherokee Jo, Joshua "Tanner", Skiler, Gunnar, Colton, and Conner. Other survivors include Step-dad Danny Grossman Sr., Grandparents Bill and Molly Sykes, Father Terry Sykes, several brothers and sisters--Danny Grossman Jr., Linda Grossman-Johnson, Desery Drake (Sykes), Danette Grossman, Kristi Grossman, Chad Smith, Jeff Smith, and Tara Baldwin (Sykes). Also many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles from the Sykes, Grossman, Tosh, Wishall families. Extended family including Juanita "Laura" Pearson family and the Harvey-Reeder family (Jesse, Donna, Jerrod, and Laci).

Services at this time are still pending and will be announced at a later date.
