Harry Ellsworth Swift Jr.
August 22, 1928 ~ June 02, 2017

Harry E. Swift, Jr. was born August 22, 1928 in San Diego, CA to Lois and Harry Ellsworth Swift, Sr. He passed away June 2, 2014 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 10 days.

Harry lived in Colorado until they moved to San Diego, California. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served his country during the Korean War. After his discharge, he returned to California where continued his education and graduated from San Diego State University. He then began a long career in teaching Industrial Arts at the Junior High and High School levels. He was married to Jay Lowrance at LaMesa, California on May 8, 1960. They lived in Fletcher Hills, California before moving to Escondido, California where they remained for several years. In 1987 he retired and they moved to Prescott, Arizona, and later moved to Sayre, Oklahoma in 1993 to make their home. Harry was a man of many talents and interests and he enjoyed archery, fishing, hunting, motorcycles, racing cars on the Bonneville Salt Flats and was also an avid reader.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Lois, and two brothers, and a grandson.

He is survived by his wife, Jay of the home, his children, David M. Lowrance, III, Sayre, OK, Clarice Lowrance, Sayre, OK, Heath Edward Swift, Mesa, AZ; and Kelly Linese Swift, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a brother, Jerry, San Diego, CA; a host of other relatives, and friends.
