Sept. 28, 1948 ~ March 6, 2014

ENID, OK - Memorial service for Steve L. Sweatt, 65, of Enid, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014, at Brown-Cummings Chapel. The Rev. Brad Mendenhall of World Harvest Church will officiate. Service is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Steve was born Sept. 28, 1948, in Cherokee, Okla., to Robert and Audry (Boston) Sweatt and passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014, in Joplin, Mo.

He grew up in Tonkawa and Enid, graduating from Enid High School in 1966.

He was an apprentice for Enid News & Eagle before starting Steve Sweatt Printing Inc.

He married Paula Janette Tilley Carrington on Feb. 4, 1984. He was a member of Davis Park Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Paula of the home; sons, Robert Sweatt and family of Shingleton, Mich., Christopher Sweatt of Enid, and Dustin Sweatt and family of Lahoma; Stepson, Steve Carrington and family of Enid; stepdaughter, Kimberly Carrington Miller and family of Enid; 10 grandchildren; and sister, Rosemary Robison Hoemann and family of Tonkawa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert �Bob� and Audrey Maxine Sweatt, and sister, Nancy Bartlett.

Memorials may be given to Hospice Circle of Love with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
