Sharron Avril (Peck) Sutton

Sharron Avril (Peck) Sutton
September 21, 1943 ~ January 8, 2026

Sharron Avril Sutton passed on from her earthly home to join her one true love, Herbert Sutton Jr, in heaven on January 8, 2026. She was born in Oneonta, NY on September 21, 1943 as the eldest daughter of Maxwell C. Peck Sr and Elsa Mae Peck (All). Sharron married the love of her life in June of 1960 and they raised their children and foster children in their home, that her beloved “Sutty” renovated with his own two hands, in Sidney Center, NY. She worked in the retail industry for a time, but mostly she made a loving home for her family as a homemaker and homeschooler.

She and her Sutty moved to Tecumseh, OK upon their retirement.

Sharron was a lover of books and a creator of quilts and shared her lifelong passion for reading by teaching her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and countless other foster children how to read and enjoy it. She leaves behind a legacy of love for her family, memories of the joy in her laughter, and a passion for knowledge through reading that spans generations. She kept her family warm with every quilt she stitched with care and kept them giggling with every rhyme and silly song she would share.

Sharron is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her infant son, Phillip; and her sister Nicolle Lesley (Peck).

She is survived by her children, son Michael Sutton of Westville, OK and daughter Jennifer Hatton (spouse Randy Hatton) of Tecumseh, OK; her siblings, brother Maxwell Peck Jr of Gulfport, MS and sister Charlotte Thornhill of Galliano, LA; her five grandchildren: Amanda Hatton, Andrew Sutton, Shauna Hatton, Hannah Leister (spouse Trennis Leister), and Kaleb Hatton (spouse Jessica Hatton); her seven great-grandchildren: Brianna, Gracie, Barrett, Blaine, Maisley, Harlow, and Maverick; and several nieces and nephews.

Sharron was immensely loved and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life, hosted by her family, will be held in the Spring.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
