Michael Paul “Mikey” Sullivan

Michael Paul “Mikey” Sullivan, 49, of Guymon passed away Monday, November 21, 2022 at the Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.

The son of John Raymond Sullivan, Jr. and Fanny Marie Sandoval, Michael was born May 6, 1973 in Guymon. He was raised in Guymon and attended the Guymon school system before moving to his sister’s in Winnemucca, Nevada where he graduated with the Class of 1991.

Following high school, Mikey returned to Guymon. He was an avid and talented pool player and loved spending time fishing. He had worked as a job coach for Panhandle Area Sheltered Workshop and truly enjoyed working with the clients there.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sullivan and Fannye Mallard, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his wife, Jessica Smiley and daughter, Michaela Sullivan of the home; one sister, Marie and husband, Wayne Howard of Winnemucca, Nevada; three brothers: Willie Sullivan and Joseph Sullivan of Guymon and James Sullivan of Montana; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, including his uncle Leroy Sandoval who was his godparent.

A celebration of Mikey’s life will be held at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home on Thursday, December 1st at 3:00 p.m. with Kristie Nelson officiating.
