Hazel Joann Strong
March 6, 1934 ~ July 9, 2013

Joann "Woppie" Strong, 79, passed into the arms of Jesus on July 9, 2013 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in McAlester on March 6, 1934, and has resided in Midwest City since 1973.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Doris and former husband Richard Strong.

Joann was a loving mother, grandma, teacher and friend, having taught in public schools for 35 years.

She is survived by her three children, Debbie Arnold, Rod Strong, Bridget Dozier and husband Drew, and son-in-law Charlie Arnold, five grandchildren, Tara Albertson and husband Jason, Gatlin Arnold, McKeever Arnold, Dax and Brock Dozier, four great-grandchildren, Janai, Paizley, Harper and Journey Albertson.

"Woppie" never met a stranger and left anyone who crossed her path with a smile on their face.
