Chad Strohmeyer

Chad Strohmeyer
November 06, 1986 ~ November 30, 2017

It's a struggle to write in just a few lines about the extraordinary life that our son, Chad Strohmeyer led. He was the shining light of our life and one of our greatest accomplishments.

We want to honor our Superhero, who we know is now busy on his Star Wars-like journey in the afterlife. Chad was a charmer who crashed a wedding of people he didn't know and ended up best friends with the bride.

He was an all-star south-paw pitcher and right-handed golfer, who was the base commander's ringer on the course at Misawa AB, Japan.

Chad loved fishing, Cubs baseball, working out, golf, Milky Way candy bars, big cities, night life, plain cheeseburgers, country music, Braum's plain vanilla ice cream & spending time laughing with his family. He lived a 1000 lifetimes, in his 31 years.

Funeral services is 10:00 a.m. Friday, 15 December 2017, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel in Enid. Pastor Jerry Holt will officiate.

Chad Carter Strohmeyer of Broken Arrow, was the beloved son of Shawn and Carla Strohmeyer, born 6 November 1986, at Blytheville AFB, Arkansas. He passed away in his home, in his own bed, of medical causes, in Alexandria, VA, on 30 November 2017.

Chad was a Staff Sergeant (SSgt) in the United States Air Force, serving over 12 years performing multiple tours in Osan AB, Seoul, South Korea, Misawa AB and Yokota, AB Japan, and deployment to Camp Lightning, Afghanistan.

Chad volunteered to support the victims of Katrina and the tsunami and earthquake in Tokyo.

Chad was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, grandson, cousin, airman and friend.

Chad is survived by his wife Seonim (Tina) Ahn-Strohmeyer, daughter Adreena Ahn-Strohmeyer of Falling Waters, West VA; his sister Shay Strohmeyer of Tulsa, OK; parents Shawn and Carla Strohmeyer of Big Cedar, OK.

His Korean family, mother-in-law Yoon-sook Kang, father in-law Jong-nam Ahn, brother-in-law Hyun-joon Ahn, sister-in-law Ah-ran Ahn of Seoul, South Korea.

Grandparents Chuck and Kathy Strohmeyer of Enid, and Irma Swartz of Poteau. Aunt and uncle, Cristy and Doug King of Greenville, IN; Janna and Clay Hochwender of New Braunfels, TX.

Chad was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Freeman and Mildred Combrink of Billings; Russell and Bernice French of Phoenix, AZ; Maunt and Poiteaux Strohmeyer of Waynoka; and his much loved pets, Hwan-hee and Luna.
