Rose Anne (Neth) Straw

October 26, 1937 ~ 2016

 Mrs. Rose Anne (Neth) Straw, 79, widow of the late Thomas F. "Tom" Straw, passed away at 11:06 a.m. on Tuesday in Wichita, KS following a sudden illness.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Straw will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3rd in the Reflection Pointe Funeral Home Chapel, Wichita, Kansas.

Rose Anne Neth was born October 26, 1937 in Piqua, OH. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Nettie (Smith) Neth. She was reared and received her education in Piqua where she graduated with the Senior Class of 1955. She and Thomas Frederick Straw were married on June 17. 1957 at Covington, Ohio. They remained in the Piqua/Dayton area until moving to Phoenix, AZ; College Station, TX; Lakewood, CO and came to the Bartlesville community in June of 1981where Mr. Straw retired from Applied Automation and Mrs. Straw was employed by Equity Drilling. In 1986, they moved to the Grand Lake area until moving to Yukon, OK. Tom and Rose were active in square dance circles for many years in the various places they lived. Tom preceded her in death on March 6, 1999 in Yukon, OK. Rose moved to Lakeland, FL prior to moving to Wichita, KS to live in retirement. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, Wichita, KS.

Surviving are her four children, Julia Straw, Wichita, KS, Daniel Straw and wife Marylou, Lakeland, FL, Bruce Straw and wife Linda, Olympia, WA and Heather Galanis and husband George, Bartlesville; 7 grandchildren, Dana Straw, Donna Straw, Daniele Grimes, Eric Horning, Ian Horning, Greer Horning and Andrew Konstantino Galanis; several great-grandchildren.
