Warren Leo Strait

???? ~ Jan. 30, 1998 | Age 62

HOOKER, Okla. - Warren Leo Strait, 62, died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Goss officiating. Arrangements are by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker.

Mr. Strait was born in Hooker. He attended school in Adams, graduating from Adams High School in 1954. He served in the Army in Gen. Freeman's Honor Guard. He was a member of the Adams Baptist Church.

Mr. Strait lived for 15 years in Pratt, Kan., and Great Bend, Kan., where he was a police officer. He was Chief of Police in Jewelsburg, Kan. He continued to serve in the police department after moving to Hooker. He was employed for five years by Delta Engineering, was on the Texas County Road Department and farmed for eight years.

He was married to Iris Bowers in 1955 at Adams.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kyle Strait of Hooker; a daughter, Monica Hanson of Sublette, Kan.; a brother, Owen Dale Strait of Hooker; a sister, Doris Hillman of Hooker; and four grandchildren.
