Mr. Wendell Allen Stout, 75, of Bartlesville, died at 9:08 A.M. on Tuesday December 24, 2013 in Bartlesville.
Funeral Services for Mr. Stout will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday December 30, 2013 at the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Bill Pratt officiating. Cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Stout was born on a farm near Jewell, Iowa to Clarence and Arlene (Green) Stout. He was raised and received his education there graduating from Carpenter High School at Carpenter, Iowa in 1957. He later attended College at Simpson College in Iowa for a semester. Following his schooling he moved to Wyoming and worked on a ranch as a cowboy for a few months until moving to Bartlesville in 1958. He first worked as a mechanic at the Green and Green Garage, until beginning his career with Phillips Petroleum Company also in 1958, as a plastics specialist, where he worked until retiring in 1987.
He was first married to Shirley Anderson in June of 1960 in Bartlesville, and they made their home here until she preceded him in death in 1973. He later married Myrna Dillsaver on May 7, 1977 at Bartlesville. Mr. Stout was devoted to his family and helping to raise his children, and loved to build play houses and toys for his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Stout is survived by two sons; Danny Stout and his wife Coleen of Afton, Oklahoma, and Swen Stout, by a daughter Inger Stout Gutierrez and husband Mario of Bartlesville, and by two sisters; Barbara Boyte and husband Robert of Westerville, Ohio, and Eloise Miller and husband Kenneth of Broomfield, Colorado, seven grandchildren; Steven, Cody Sayward, and Soren Stout, Billy Pratt, and Brycen and Brynli Gutierrez., 4 great-grandchildren; Presley and Logan Stout, and Cooper and Haidyn Stout.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence & Arlene Stout, and by a daughter Tammy Stout as an infant, and by a brother Dwayne Stout, and a grandson Christian Norris.
