Bradley Don Stone, 69, of Stroud, Oklahoma, passed away
peacefully on November 18, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, calm
strength, and unwavering loyalty to the people and places he loved.
Born January 22, 1956, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Rex and June Stone, Brad was raised in Stroud with a short time in Stillwater during his junior high and high school years. He returned to Stroud and graduated with the Class of 1974. Brad went on to attend Oklahoma Baptist University, where he played baseball with passion until injuries shifted his course; yet the heart of an athlete stayed with him always.
Following college, Brad embarked on a long career as an entrepreneur—resourceful, determined, and always willing to put in the work—including his own store, B.S. Unlimited, traveling the world working with Mustang Fuel, and consulting for Creative Travel.
In his later years, Brad retired to the lake, where for the last twenty years he shared a beautiful life filled with peace, laughter, and simple joys alongside the love of his life, Judy Shores.
An avid outdoorsman, Brad poured his heart into frisbee golf, helping design and maintain courses, playing countless rounds, and teaching new generations the game he cherished. He was a proud, active member of the Downed Bikers Association, enjoyed fishing, and never missed a chance to cheer on his beloved OSU Cowboys.
Laid-back, generous, and quietly wise, Brad had a rare gift for making everyone around him feel at ease. He never hesitated to lend a hand, offer a smile, or share his steady presence with a friend in need.
Brad is survived by his partner, Judy Shores and Her Sons Ron & Trey, Their Spouses Cathleen and Tresley and he was a Grandpa to their Children Megan Henderson, Aidan Henderson, Billy Hensley IV and Ella Hensley; his sisters, Vicki Stone-Grice and husband Ron, and Rex Ann Stone; and his nieces and nephews: Brian Irwin, Stephanie Irwin, Nicolette Miller, Annie Miller-Edge, Tika Fisher and husband Brian, Shane Nickell, and Derreck Nickell. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Bradley Don Stone will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his fierce loyalty, and the deep joy he found in life’s simplest pleasures. Rest easy, Brad. The courses are quieter, the lake a little emptier, and the world a little less bright without you.
