Johnny Roscoe Stokes
August 24, 1943 ~ October 15, 2018

Johnny Roscoe Stokes, 75, resident of Collinsville for over 65 years, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 in Tulsa, OK. He was born August 24, 1943 in Blytheville, AR to Leonard Stokes and the former Clara E. McElroy. He served in the Army, 1965 to 1967 and was a member of the American Legion. He was a butcher for several local grocery stores in Collinsville until 1981 when he became a carpenter. He coached Little League Football and Baseball for over 10 years. He was a master of the San Francisco Karate Chop.

He is survived by his wife: Connie of the home. 2 sons: Jamie Stokes of Collinsville and Scotty Stokes and his wife Barbara of Collinsville. 4 grandchildren: Amie Stokes-Wyzard, Devin Stokes, Ben Reed and Katie Stokes. 1 great-grandson: Greyson Wyzard. 2 sisters: Emma Hale of Port Richie, FL and Mary Thompson of Edmond, OK. 2 brothers: Leonard Stokes, Jr. of Talihina, OK and Jimmy Stokes of Collinsville, OK. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents: 2 brothers: Jerry Stokes and E.L. Byrom. 1 sister: JoAnn Myers and 1 niece: Tobi Stokes.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 1018 at the Faith Fellowship Church with Rev. Kelvin Limbocker and Rev. Jim Carney officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oklahoma Fire Fighters Burn Camp, P.O. 287, Owasso, OK 74055.

Services are provided by Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
