Barbara Jean (Vincent) Stokes
March 28, 1948 ~ February 17, 2020 (age 71)

Barbara Jean (Vincent) Stokes, age 71, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away February 17, 2020. She was born March 28, 1948, in Greenville, KY, to the late Mack and Louise Vincent.

Barbara was a kind and thoughtful woman, well known for her hospitality and generous spirit. She was a warrior and survivor who knew how to forgive. She loved her family and anyone who came around more than once. Barbara had one true love on this Earth and was proud of the life she and Tony created together for 40 years. By trade, she was a Domestic Engineer and enjoyed her job. Barbara loved the Lord, was drawn to Him in her suffering, and served Him out of her JOY in His presence.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Stokes; infant son, Jesse Glenn Stokes; and brother, Jack Adler.

She is survived by her two daughters, Deana Kennedy and husband Brian, and Nicole Stokes; five granddaughters, Ruth, Clara, Mary, Lucy and Alice Kennedy; and brother, Jeff Vincent.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020, at Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at the funeral home. She will be interred at a later date in New Cypress Cemetery, New Cypress, KY.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
