Thurman Lee Stewart

April 14, 1948 ~ May 14, 2018

Thurman Stewart was born April 14, 1948 in Garden City, Kansas to Lillie (Bussey) and Wilburn Stewart. He passed away May 14, 2018 at Erick, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, and 1 month.

Thurman moved with his family to Erick where he graduated from high school. He later moved to Clinton, Oklahoma where he was employed with the City. Thurman returned to Erick in 1992 to make his home. He loved spending time with his friends and family and enjoyed playing jokes and cutting up with them.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Kenneth and Clifford Stewart and 2 sisters, Wanda Brinkley and Virginia Rains.

He is survived by 1 brother, Dewayne Stewart of Elk City, OK; his sister-in-law, Letha Stewart; nieces, Lanette Riesor and Melissa Underwood, a nephew, Bryan Stewart and a host of other relatives and friends.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
