Carolyn Lavon (Matthews) Stewart

Carolyn Lavon Stewart, age 70 of Purcell, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015.

She was born July 6, 1945 in Byars, OK to Virgil Tilson Matthews and Jewel Mae (Maxwell) Matthews. She married Will Eli Stewart and together they raised three children, Tammie, Tina and Terry. Carolyn was a great family women and loving mother, deeply involved in her family and loved to keep a clean house. She enjoyed bird watching and making her own bird food for them. She enjoyed quilting and working in her flower garden. On Holidays she lit up the block with her decorations and lights.

Carolyn will greatly be missed by her loved ones, Daughters, Tammie McCarty of Purcell and Tina Turcotte of Minnesota; Son, Terry Stewart of Purcell; Nine grandchildren;1 great grandchild and a host of other family and friends. We celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Lord and Savior.

A Private Memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements made by Wilson Little Funeral Home.
