Timothy Eugene Sterrett
June 5, 1961 ~ May 27, 2022 (age 60)

Timothy Eugene Sterrett, 60, of Tecumseh Oklahoma passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022.

He was born June 5, 1961 to Kenneth Eugene and Mamie Lucille “Lucy” (Neal) Sterrett in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Tim was raised and attended school in Oklahoma City and has been a Tecumseh resident for 40 years.

He was a heavy equipment operator working for the City of Tecumseh Water Department for many years and working at the Sand plant.

Tim was a Baptist and loved fishing, camping and being outside with his family. He enjoyed watching football.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucy Sterrett; brother, Robert “Bobby” Sterrett, and sister, Bridgett Tooman.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tonda Sterrett of the home; daughters and sons-in- law, Tonya and Clark Colson of Shawnee; America and Gary Allison of Roswell, NM; Cara and John Lewis of Tecumseh; and Amanda and Mike Swanner of Tecumseh; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; father, Kenneth Sterrett of Tecumseh; brother and sister-in-law, William “Billy” and Debbie Sterrett of Norman; sister and brother-in-law Edna “ Eddie” and Orval Brewer of Wellston, and many nephews and nieces and close friends.

Visitation will be from Noon, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.,Wednesday, June 1, 2022 and from 9:00 a.m.to service time on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Cooper Funeral home chapel with Reverend Clint Dawkins Pastor of Sharon Baptist Church officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
