Deanna Louise "Dodie" Stephens
July 30, 1960 - December 7, 2020

A casual Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, Dec 31, 2020. A private burial will be held at a later time to join Dodie and her husband, John as one again for eternity..

On Monday, December 7, 2020, Deanna Louise Stephens (Dodie), loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at the age of 60. Dodie was born July 30, 1960 in Monroe, Michigan. She was raised and graduated in Meeker,OK. She worked at Advanced Foods until 2015, when she went to work at Integris Bass Hospital as a Patient Care Attendant, until she recently retired. She was loved by many anywhere she worked or went. She enjoyed the beach, swimming, going out with friends, riding motorcycles, and scuba diving. Her favorite football teams were the Redskins and OU. She loved to travel.

She was so adventurous, she wasn’t afraid to do anything. She loved helping people, no matter what she would always be there. She was never a quitter, she always kept fighting. She truly had a kind and loving heart. She loved her dogs K.C., Petey, Q.T. Pie, Mo, Oscar, and Gracie.

Dodie is joined in heaven by her husband John Stephens and her brother Jimmy Shoopman.

She is survived by her mother Deanna Keith, sisters Angela Harris and Michele Oliver, brother Andy Dicks, and Daughter Candice and husband David Followwill, Grandchildren, Heather, Jeffrey, Ashton, Addison Followwill, and many other family and friends.

John David "J.D."  Stephens
June 9, 1955 ~ December 18, 2013

Come and Go memorial for John David Stephens, 58, Enid will be Sunday, January19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Q-Spot in Enid. The familyrequests everyone to wear their favorite sports clothing. Cremation arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.

John was born on June 9, 1955 in Enid, Oklahoma, the son of G.W. and Wilma Haskins Stephens, and passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, December 18, 2013 in Okeene. He was raised and Educated in Enid. John served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1979 to 1990, receiving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He then started a career with the United States Postal Service in Enid and worked as a mail carrier until ill health. He also owned and operated Captains Quarters for several years. John married Deanna Louise “Dodie” Shoopman.

John was a member of the Postal Workers Union as well as the Super Bowl Brothers. John had a heart filled with love and compassion for everyone and the brotherhood of the military and the Superbowl Brothers. He was always cutting up and joking with his friends and family and had the companionship of his friend, Merv, who helped when needed and also read the Bible to John. He also kept John and his dogs company and safe. John's onery disposition kept the doctors at bay and the nursing staff running!

He is survived by his wife Dodie of the residence; son, John David Stephens, Jr. of Edmond; daughter, Candice and husband David Followwill of Enid; brother Bob and wife Elaine Stephens of Kingfisher; sister,Lana and husband Mike Ellis of Edmond. Grandchildren, Heather, Jeffrey, Ashton, and Addison Followwill, all of Enid.

John was preceded in passing by his parents and brother Glen.

The family has asked for friends and family to respect their request to not send flowers. Instead, the family has suggested a memorial in memory of John to be given as a bequest to the family with the Stittsworth Family coordinating.

Thanks to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center ICU/IMCU and L-Tac Nursing Staff and all the doctors who were involved in his care and made sure he was entertained.
