Jack Wallace Steele
August 6, 1928 ~ August 25, 2013

Jack Wallace Steele, son of Wallace Hubert and Blanche Mae (Lemler) Steele, was born on August 6, 1928 in Picher, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with his Lord on Sunday, August 25, 2013 in Springdale, Arkansas at the age of 85 years and 19 days.

Jack enjoyed the outdoors and liked to hunt and fish. He worked for Siloam Springs Fire Department and EMS. Jack also owned a welding shop for a period of time. He dedicated his life to the Lord at a young age and became a Minister. He touched many lives while ministering to families at churches in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. He served as the minister of the First Christian Church of Stilwell several times and had been a member for years.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Wallace and Blanche Steele, granddaughter: Jessica Steele.

Jack is survived by his children: David Steele and wife Shirley of Lexington, NE, Randall Steele and wife Mary of Siloam Springs, AR, Tom Steele of Shawnee, KS, Ken Steele and wife Rosemary of Cape Cod, MA, grandchildren: Daniel Steele of Taos, NM, Michael Steele of North Platte, NE, Jonathan Steele of Denver, CO, Kaleigh Steele of Siloam Springs, 11 great grandchildren, brothers: Bill Steele and wife Evelyn of San Antonio, TX, John Steele and wife Carolyn of Mulberry, KS, James Steele and wife Myrna of Oklahoma City, OK, sisters: Imogene Trease of Commerce, OK, Colleen Blackburn of Albuquerque, NM, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services held at 2 pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at First Christian Church, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Byrl David Kelley and Vance Eubanks officiating. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Services under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell, Oklahoma.
