Doyle Keith Stearman, age 84 of Bethel Acres, Oklahoma, passed from this life Saturday, December 7, 2024 at his home.
He was born April 27, 1940 in Tipton, Oklahoma to George William and Thelma Margaret (Smith) Stearman. Doyle was raised in Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1958.
Doyle served in the US Army from 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1963.
Doyle married Joan Fair on September 12, 1964 at Hilltop Baptist Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
After his military service he worked as a computer technician for RCA until 1977. He and his wife owned and operated the Daylight Donuts in Shawnee from 1977 until 2019.
When Doyle was not working he enjoyed woodturning, hunting, fishing and riding his Harley Davidson. He was a philanthropist in the Shawnee area, and enjoyed participating in the Santa's Kids Toy Run, and won the oldest rider award two years in a row.
Doyle is preceded in death by; his parents; his son, Edward Eugene Stearman; his brothers, Billy Dean Stearman, and Jerry David Stearman; and his sister, Ramona Wilson.
Those left to cherish his memory are: wife Joan Stearman, of the home; son, Christopher Keith Stearman, and wife Tracy Leigh Stearman of Shawnee; son Gregory William Stearman, of Shawnee; sister, Martha Joy Stearman, of Cypress, CA; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church, Bethel Acres, Oklahoma with Pastor Larry Sparks officiating, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
