Christene "Tina" States

???? ~ Jan. 25, 1998 | Age 74

GRUVER - Christene "Tina" States, 74, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, at Liberal, Kan.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Primitive Baptist Church at Perryton with Elder Don Martin and Elder R.A. Tindall officiating. Burial will be in the Gruver Cemetery by Miller Mortuary.

Mrs. States was born in Eldorado, Okla. She married Marvin States in 1940 at Pampa. She had lived in Gruver since 1947 where she had been a telephone operator for eight years, was an accountant and secretary for the Gruver Lumber Co. for nine years and until recently owned and operated rental properties.

She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church at Perryton.

Survivors include a son, LeRoy States of Naples, Italy; a daughter, Anita "Mel" Albright of Balko, Okla.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Miller Mortuary at Liberal and from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at Primitive Baptist Church at Perryton.
