Joyce Madden Starn
December 1, 1941 - February 28, 2016

Joyce Madden Starn longtime Ponca City resident passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 in Ponca City, OK. Joyce was 74 years of age. Joyce was born December 1, 1941 in Hamilton, Ohio to James Effie and Hazel Owens Madden.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Brian Critchfield officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Richmond, Indiana. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel funeral home of Ponca City, OK.

Joyce married Jerry Starn on April 2, 1966 in Tennessee and they came to Ponca City in October of 1978. Joyce attended Vo Tech in Ponca City and she became a Medical Assistant. She worked for Dr. Davis and Dr. Terry for several years and then later was the bookkeeper for Lowes. Joyce enjoyed reading and visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include: her husband of almost 50 years Jerry of the Home; 3 daughters: Staci Adams and husband Curtis of Burbank, OK Jeri Anderson and husband Jim of Tulare, CA Kristen Sisco and husband Will of Ponca City, OK 6 brothers: Darrell Madden of Richmond, IN Don Madden and Wife Sheila of Loveland, Ohio Jerry Madden of Richmond, IN Wayne Madden and wife Lynn of Centerville, IN Rick Madden of Richmond, IN David Madden and wife Melanie of Richmond, IN 3 sisters: Anita Oberle and husband David of Salt Lake City, Utah Carol Madden of Oregon and Phyllis Madden of Santa Clarita, CA 6 grandchildren: Amanda Forguson, Meagan Adams, Parker Anderson, Trey Starn, Connor Anderson and Trevor Anderson 7 Great Grandchildren: Bryse Forguson, Kaleb Forguson, Brooklynn Goree, Lainee Forguson, Jaedan Adams, Kasen Sitterly and Amy Anderson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother Dennis Madden and 1 sister Jan Dunn.
