Linda (Jackson) Starkus

Linda (Jackson) Starkus
April 7, 1949 ~ April 14, 2021

Linda Starkus, age 72, passed away on April 14, 2021. Linda was born on April 7, 1949 in Durant, Oklahoma to Orvile and Dorthy (Hull) Jackson. She married the love of her life Paul Starkus on April 26, 1977.

Linda’s life took her to many places including Guam, France and Germany. A highlight in her life was seeing President Eisenhower. However, her biggest joy and admiration was the love she had for her family, making memories and sharing laughter with them. She worked as a CNA. Linda belonged to the VFW and enjoyed Bingo and visits to the casino.

She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Starkus, her parents Dorthy and Orvil Jackson, Joann Pinkston, Danny Jackson, and Kenneth Heathcock.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Angela Jackson of Durant, her son Paul Starkus of Thackerville. Her grandchildren Erin Burkhalter of Durant, Keigan Burkhalter and wife Rachel of Whitesboro, Devin Starkus of Durant, Great grandchildren Anberlin Burkhalter of Durant, Nolan Burkhalter of Whitesboro. Her daughter from another mother Carla Hull of Durant and granddaughters Chealse Hull, and great-granddaughters Kinsley Clure and Paisley Clure all of Calera.
