Margaret (Mattix) Stanberry

July 29, 1922 ~ June 7, 2016

Margaret Mattix Stanberry passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016, in the Walker-Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Margaret Stanberry was born July 29, 1922 in Bartlesville to Harry and Ida (Allen) Mattix.

Margaret was a loving mother and very family oriented. She was an exceptional cook and a great seamstress.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Mary Jean Stanley of Collinsville and sister, Orpha Jean Bowen and husband Bill of Colorado Springs, CO. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Michelle Montee of Loveland, CO, Marcia Montee of Bartlesville, Rebecca Gore and husband Jim of Pryor, Ronda Dostal and husband Brent of Mannford; two step grandchildren, Troy Goleman and wife Anne of Yukon and Mark Goleman and wife Kathy of Gloucester, Massachusetts. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Stanberry, four brothers, one sister and daughter, Sammy Jo Goleman. Online condolences for the family can be left at www.walkerbrownfuneralhome.com.
