Carolyn Sue (Akins) Stallings
September 10, 1945 ~ May 6, 2022

Carolyn Sue Stallings was born September 10, 1945 in Yale, OK to James and Bertha (Johnston) Akins. She passed away peacefully in her home May 6, 2022 in Wellston at the age of 76.

She was the 10th born of 15 children. Sue enjoyed playing, working and fighting with all her siblings. She told many stories, but most cannot be repeated. Her greatest love and accomplishment were her 4 daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Sue also enjoyed sewing, fishing, gardening of all sorts but especially flowers. Later in life she enjoyed going to the casino.

Sue wore many hats during her lifetime; daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, coach, friend, counselor, doctor, mentor, and cheerleader to everyone. Sue was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Earnest, Benny, Jimmy, Randy; sisters, Gayleen, Hazel, Barbara; granddaughter, Rachel; and her great-grandson, Cameron. Survivors include her siblings, Verlon Brown, Claudine Pierce, Joann Pryor, Jerry Akins, Tommy Akins, Debra Marriot, Sarah Longeway; children, Della Mitchell, Mona Leal, Kimberly Leal, Joy Schrimsher; grandchildren, Tabra and Aaron, Misty, Florencio, Jared, and Josh, Kyle and Karolyn, Ethan, Ashley, and Jessie; along with 16 great-grandchildren and other family and friends.
