Jackie Harold Staggs

September 2, 1939 ~ March 11, 2021

A private family service will be held for Jackie Harold Staggs, 81, of the Falconhead community in Burneyville.

Born September 2, 1939 at Purcell, the son of Herman and May McPhearson Staggs, he died Thursday, March 11, 2021 at his residence.

Jackie grew up in Washington, Oklahoma. He married the love of his life, Taujauna Gail McCall on October 28, 1962. They had celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary prior to her passing on April 19, 2020.

Jackie joined the United States Army and was stationed in Ft. Sill and Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. After his service, he and Gail raised their family in Purcell where he operated his bulldozer service for approximately 20 years. In 2008, they moved to the Falconhead community. Jackie was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, yard work, and feeding the birds.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Staggs.

Survivors include two sons, Cary Staggs and wife Mary Sue of Montague, Texas and Chris Staggs and wife Jenna of Roanoke, Texas; two grandchildren, Brittany Range of Justin, Texas and Steven Staggs of Denton, Texas; and a great-grandchild, Kellan Range.
