Bobbie Jean (McBurnett) Stackhouse
July 18, 1928 ~ March 18, 2023

Bobbie Jean Stackhouse passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the age of 94. She was born in Turley, Oklahoma on July 18, 1928, to John Talmadge and Ollie Pearl (Hughes) McBurnett.

Jean worked at George Washington Elementary as a First-Grade teacher for 20 years. She was a member of Victory Life Church in Durant, Oklahoma. Some of her hobbies included cross-stitch, gardening, reading, working crossword puzzles, and most importantly spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Surviving Jean are her daughter Susan Pierson of Caddo, Oklahoma, daughter Gretta Sarkissan, her three granddaughters Crystal Cox and husband Eric, Ashley Pierson, and Sunny Pierson. Also surviving Jean are a great grandchildren Annabel Lee Berninger, Jakob Cox, Joshua Cox, Jaxon Cox, Mackenzie Kale, daughter in law Joyce Pierson, her special friend Dee Henry, along with other relatives and friends.

Preceding Jean in death are her parents J. T. and China, first husband Jay Pierson, second husband LaFray Stackhouse, her son Jay Ross Pierson and daughter Donna Pierson, her brothers J.O, Woodrow, Ralph, Clarence, and Jack McBurnette, and one sister Elsie Moses.

A memorial service will be held at Victory Life Church on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 2:00pm with Pastor Lee Armstrong officiating.

Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.
