Sarah Armileta (Whorton) Spence
March 21, 1940 ~ June 3, 2020 (age 80)

Sarah Armileta Spence was born March 21, 1940, in Atoka, Oklahoma to Vernon and Sarah May (Woods) Whorton. She passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at the age of 80.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center of Duncan.

Sarah graduated from Sentinel High School. She married Marion "Sparky" Spence in 1975 in Grandfield. Sarah became a seamstress at a very young age. She was employed by Ford Motor Company in the Warranty Department for 25 years. She was an amazing cook and loved to bake. Organization was a priority for her. She loved working puzzles and was a collector of Gone with the Wind memorabilia. Sarah was a very classy lady who worked hard to raise seven sons. She loved her family dearly and was very proud of her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sparky; four sons: Vernon Moore, Terry Moore, John Moore, Donald Moore; stepdaughter, Diane Spence; and brothers: Haskel, Delmer and Harold.

Sarah is survived by her children: Larry and wife Karlese Moore of Union City; Ronnie and wife Susan Moore of Duncan; Steve Moore of Meridian; stepchildren: Craig Spence of Wichita Falls, Texas; Kathy Harris of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren: Misty and husband Jason Donnelle; John and wife Katie Moore; Sarah McKinnon; Krystal Hardin; Cody Moore; Stephanie Moore; Joe and wife Dana Moore; Jason Moore; Brandy Moore; Stephanie Moore; Casey Moore; Matt Moore; great grandchildren: Addison Moore, Nolan Moore, Jayla Hardin, Alyxa McKinnon, Makylan Moore, Jaylei Moore, Micah Moore, Dusty Moore, Shiann Moore, Katillian Moore, Kaylea Moore, Isabella Moore, Liberty Moore, Gabrielle Moore, Keenan, Ryley, Zaay; brother, Floyd Whorton; sisters, Betty Grebb, Dorothy Estes; and lots of other loving family members.
