Denise Leann Spence, 62, of Kingston, OK, went to her heavenly home on July 15, 2025, in McKinney, TX. Denise was born on June 12, 1963, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Donald Brown Spence Jr. and Virginia Lee Roberts (Smith).
Denise grew up in Edmond, OK, and attended Edmond Memorial High School. She moved to Kingston, OK, in 2018 after her retirement. She worked as a legal secretary for most of her life. Denise was a Christian woman and was a member of Life.Church online. Denise was full of life in every way. She enjoyed gardening, her animals, watching and tending to birds, the lake life, girls’ nights, her friends, and riding side-by-sides. Of all the things she enjoyed in life, her greatest joys were her daughter and her grandson. She was a very proud mother and grandmother.
Denise is preceded in death by her mother; Virginia Lee Roberts (Smith), and her grandparents on both sides of her family.
She is survived by her father; Donald Spence Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK, stepfather; Butch Roberts of Edmond, OK, daughter; Lexi Benard and spouse Justin of Shawnee, OK, grandson; Barrett Benard of Shawnee, OK, brother; Landon Spence and spouse Kelli of Edmond, OK, step-sister; Kelli Parks of Edmond, OK, nephew; Tanner Spence of Edmond, OK, niece; Rilee Martinelli and spouse Joey of Edmond, OK, and numerous extended family and friends.
A celebration of life for Denise will be held on July 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Denise’s house.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Services.
