Inez I. Spears

July 3, 1917 ~ May 31, 2002

DUMAS - Inez I. Spears, 84, died Friday, May 31, 2002.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Wagoner, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Spears was born July 3, 1917, in Butler, Okla. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a volunteer for the Rose Ladies Auxiliary since 1984.

She was a clerk at the Little Shop for 17 years. She married L.D. Spears on Feb. 13, 1943, in Clinton, Okla. She had been a Dumas resident since 1956.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Larry D. Spears of Amarillo; three nieces; and several great-nieces.

The family will be at 224 Powell in Dumas.

The family suggests memorials be to Memorial Hospice, 223 E. Second, Dumas, TX 79029; or to a favorite charity.
