Zana Louise Sparks, age 75, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away on August 14, 2025. She was born on December 21, 1949, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Zane and Betty Bowers.
Zana grew up in Bartlesville, where she attended Bartlesville High School before continuing her education and earning her associate’s degree from Rogers State University.
She lived a life filled with love, adventure, and creativity. Zana enjoyed traveling with her husband, Richard, for his work, exploring many places together, and always spoke fondly of their special trip to Hawaii. Married for 27 years and together for 33, Zana and Richard built a beautiful life full of love and shared memories.
She had a passion for painting, playing music, and spending time outdoors. Camping in the camper was one of her greatest joys, as was playing games online and staying connected with others.
Zana will be remembered for her radiant smile and her joyful laugh, both of which could brighten any room. She had a gift for making others feel happy and uplifted simply through her presence and conversation.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zane and Betty Bowers; her stepfather, James Blower; and her daughter, Becky.
Zana is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Sparks; her son, Mike Jordan (Sabrina) ; her sister, Janice Moody; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
