Rebecca Sue "Becky" (Davis) Souza
June 9, 1947 ~ March 10, 2020

Rebecca Sue “Becky” Souza, 72, died March 10, 2020 in Oklahoma City. She was born June 9, 1947 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Roscoe and Mildred (Branham) Davis. She married Paul Souza June 1, 1968 in Oklahoma City and they enjoyed over 50 years together. She was a loving wife and mother to her two children. She attended Central State University where she excelled athletically, playing field hockey and softball. She was also a lifeguard and swim instructor. Known as the “crafting queen,” she enjoyed all kinds of arts and crafts. She always had some sort of project going. Becky loved family trips to Lake Texoma and bird watching. Hummingbirds were her favorite. She and Paul were a part of a bowling league for many years. She worked as a special ed teacher’s assistant for 25 years at Coronado Heights Elementary.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Margaret Ann “Butch” Thomas. Survivors include her loving husband, Paul; son, Shane Souza and wife Lora of OKC; daughter, Melinda Hardin and husband Matthew of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Stephen and Kathryn Souza, Wesley, Isabella and Amanda Hardin; and niece, Kadi Easley and her boys, Justin Easley and wife Amanda and their daughter Lexi, and Clinton Easley.

Services to celebrate her life will be Saturday, March 14, 1:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel.
