Christopher Lee “Chris” Snowden, 42, of Blanchard, passed away on January 26, 2025. The son of David Edward Snowden and Helen Abigal Snowden, Chris was born on October 23, 1982, in Norman.
Chris grew up in Blanchard and was a Blanchard High School graduate. He had worked for several years at Buckner Heavy Lift where he was the yard manager. He was married to Michelle Marie Bolz for twenty years and they made their home in Blanchard.
Chris liked to hunt and fish and named himself “Captain of the Boat.” He was also a grill master and was an expert at ribs and brisket and made the best fried turkeys. Chris loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents, and his father-in-law, Charles Bolz.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Marie Bolz of Blanchard; son, Ryan Orr and wife, Becky of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Colin and Liam Miller-Orr; brothers, Jeremy Snowden and Mike Snowden; mother-in-law, Phyllis Bolz; sister-in-law, Kim Russell and husband Jermaine; nieces and nephews, Kylee, Abigal, Addilynn, and Toby Snowden, and Kaymari and Jaiden Russell and many other loving family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
