William Dane “Bill” Smith

William Dane “Bill” Smith
September 13, 1961 ~ March 20, 2024

William “Bill” Dane Smith entered this life on September 13, 1961, in Perryton, Texas, to Darrel Clayton Smith and Jeanette Deloris Fox (Holt). He began his new journey on March 20, 2024 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Bill was raised in Liberal, Kansas and attended school in Greensburg, Kansas, where he found his love of football. He was an avid Texas Longhorn and Kansas State Wildcat Fan, and you couldn’t convince him otherwise. Bill moved back to Oklahoma in the early 80’s where he worked many different manual labor jobs. This is where he met the love of his life, Pamela Sue Smith (Wallace). After 6 months of dating, they married on March 1, 1985, recently celebrating 39 years of marriage.

They settled down and raised their two children in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. You could catch him cheering and coaching, “yelling” even if you weren’t his child. He enjoyed camping, fishing, football, and anything to do with aliens and bigfoot. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette; brother, Darrell Ray; stepfather, Bill; stepmother, Shirlynn.

Bill leaves behind the love of his life, Pam; son, Jeremy and wife Lacey, daughter, Danica; four granddaughters, Eden, Rowyn, Emberleigh, Haivyn, along with numerous family and friends.

He would want to be remembered as the strong, loving husband, father, son, friend he was.

His final wishes were to be cremated with a celebration of life to follow at a later date.
