Beverly J. Smith-Odom
October 13, 1938 ~ September 25, 2025

Beverly J. Smith-Odom, of Durant, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the age of 86. She was born on October 13, 1938 in Tulare, California, to Ernest M. and Laura T. Azevedo.

Beverly worked for many years in the banking industry. She served as an Assistant Vice President and Personal Banker for Bank of America. Her commitment to serving her clients and community was widely respected.

She will lovingly be remembered by her daughter Michelle Callaway of Coleman, Oklahoma, her grandson Cody Callaway and wife Morgan, her granddaughter Sara Callaway-Fales and husband Logan, and great-grandsons Keaton and Payden Callaway, and Kolston and Sutton Fales.

Preceding her in death are her parents Ernest and Laura Azevedo, and husband Ernest W. Smith.

A Rosary will be recited at St William Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., with the Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Father Carl Kerkemeyer will officiate. Beverly will be laid to rest in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Modesto, California.

Those serving as pallbearers are Cody Callaway, Logan Fales, Triston Scribner, and Rex Greilich.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Arthritis Foundation at arthritis.org, to Alzheimer’s Foundation at alz.org, or to St. William Catholic Church, 802 University Blvd, Durant, OK 74701, in memory of Beverly Smith-Odom.
