Michael David “Pete” Smith
February 20, 1961 ~ June 20, 2023

Word has been received of the death of Michael “Pete” David Smith, 62, of Lawton, Oklahoma.

Mr. Smith passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at his home in Lawton.

Pete’s wishes were to have no services, so, his son is honoring his father’s wish.

Michael was born February 20, 1961, in Big Stone Gap, West Virginia to Pearl and Mabel (Woods) Smith. He grew up in West Virginia where he attended school. He worked his whole life as a cross country truck driver, the last company he was working for was Dee King Trucking.

He was preceded in death by his parents Pearl and Mabel Smith; wife Rhonda Smith; brother Joey Smith.

Michael is survived by his son Michael Smith Jr. and wife Caitlin Thompson; brothers, James ”Yopie” Smith (Tammy) and Dale Smith (Tammy); grandchildren Alonni Smith and Aceynn Smith; plus a host of nieces, nephew, other loving family and friends.
