Martin David Smith

Martin David Smith
October 14, 1929 ~ December 31, 2024

Martin David Smith, 95, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on December 31, 2024, in Vinita, Oklahoma. Born on October 14, 1929, in Pryor to Roy and Della (Kerns) Smith, Martin lived a life of dedication, adventure, and service. A proud veteran, Martin served his country with honor in the U.S. Army and also dedicated 20 years of his life to the U.S. Navy, retiring with distinction. His love for the outdoors was a hallmark of his life, as he found joy in fishing, hunting, and exploring nature. At home, Martin was a skilled tinkerer, always busy with projects that showcased his resourcefulness and ingenuity. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Martin's legacy is one of service and love for family.

He is survived by his son, Kenny Smith and wife Gina of Pryor, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, William Smith, Lonnie Smith, and Walter Smith; and sister, Angie Smith. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Della Smith; his beloved wife, Helen Smith; his son, Michael Smith; brothers, Edward Smith, Donald Smith, Sherman Smith, Raymond Smith, and Jesse Smith; and sisters, Verna Hess and Peggy Smith.
