Leta Rae (Beckner) Smith
February 9, 1938 ~ July 10, 2020

Leta Rae Smith was born February 9, 1938, in Drummond, OK, to Lawrence and Melva Beckner. She passed away on July 10, 2020, in Grapevine, TX, near her daughters.

Leta Rae grew up on the family farm in Drummond and moved to Enid after graduating high school in 1956. She met and married Bill Smith September 2, 1960. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She was the ultimate homemaker and enjoyed serving her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Smith, parents Lawrence and Melva Beckner, and brother Darell Beckner.

Leta Rae will be forever remembered by her daughters, Janet Childers (Ed), Shelly Smith; grandchildren, Ali Black (Jeff), Alex Childers, Julie Bestard, Evan Childers, Caroline Bestard; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Cohen, and Collyns Black; sister, Sharon Hennigh (Don).
