Leslie Baley Smith

Aug, 1906 ~ Jan. 20, 1973

Leslie Baley Smith was born in Grayson Co., TX Aug. 28, 1906. (According to birth certificate he was born on Aug. 6, 1906). He departed this life Jan. 20, 1973.

He married Lucille McClellan at Sayre, OK Nov. 3, 1928. Leslie made a profession of faith in the later years of his life. To this union were born 6 children: Bonita Beals of Strong City, OK; Loretta Sexton & Jeweleen Martindale of Ft. Worth, TX; Leslie Dwayne & Billymack Smith of Weatherford, TX.

Those preceding him in death are his mother, 1 sister, 1 daughter and a grand-daughter.

Survivors are: his wife of the home: his father Mr. W. W. Smith of Phoenix, AZ and brothers Coy of Dumas, TX; R. D. of Johnson, KS. Dewey of Ft. Worth, TX; Udell of Rolls, TX; 4 sisters Opal Hayworth; Effie Biggs of Denver, Co; Nadine Drake of Phoenix; Frankie Weatherford of Calipatrial, CA. ; 9 grandchildren, Lonnie, Terry & Gail Beals of Strong City, OK; Jean Beals Whiteneck of Lahoma, OK; Joan Beals Taylor of Borger, TX; Janet Smith & Darrell Smith of Weatherford, TX ; Susan Sexton & Michael Smith of Ft. Worth, TX.

Pall bearers: Mac Taylor, Terry Drake, Don Whiteneck, Roy McClellan, Coy Gene Smith, Leroy Weatherly.

Arrangements by: Scroggins & Son Funeral Home, Cheyenne, OK.
