James Enlow "Jim" Smith
December 29, 1933 ~ February 21, 2023

James (Jim) Enlow Smith, 89, of Sherman, Texas died on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 in Denison, Texas.

Jim was born on December 29, 1933, in Beechwoods, Pennsylvania to Enlow and Martha Smith. After graduating from Penn State University, he proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Jim worked in the glass container industry his entire career, serving in many levels of management at Brockway Glass, Owens-Brockway and Latchford Glass. He was also active in the communities he resided in by serving on several civic boards.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, siblings Dorothy and Paul; son Michael; former wife, Susanne and granddaughter, Jennifer.

He is survived by son, Kurt and daughter-in-law, Marianne; son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Barbara; daughter-in-law, Martha; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; former spouse, Jonell and his beloved dog, Josey.

Services are still being planned at this time.

Contributions in memory of Jim can be made to local food banks and hospice organizations.
