Gene Smith

July 10, 1943 ~ May 12, 2010

Gene Smith, 66 of Jones, OK, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at his home with the love of his family surrounding him.

Gene was born to Alfred Maloy and Nellie Beulah (Canoy) on July 10, 1943 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

He was a Viet Nam Army veteran and a bricklayer in commercial construction.

Gene married Polly on May 16, 1964.

Gene is survived by his wife of 46 years Polly , 2 children: Michael Smith and Shelly Couch, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 3 brothers: Ed, Jerry Wayne, and Delbert Smith, 4 sisters: Wanda William, Frances Brewer, Debbie Custer, and Vonelle Lassiter.

 Gene was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill and George, sisters, Evelyn and Linda.
