Glenda Carol Smith, 70, of Durant, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on January 21, 2025. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed.
Born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, on February 15, 1954, Glenda grew up in Mustang, Oklahoma. She enjoyed a successful career as a talented hairdresser before dedicating 20 years to Choctaw Casino, where she was recognized for excellence with multiple Simply the Best awards. Glenda had a passion for travel and eagerly anticipated every new adventure, embracing the joys of life with enthusiasm and curiosity.
Glenda was preceded in death by her father, Warren Delbert Hacker; her mother, Joyce Mae Shepperd Hacker; and her brother, Paul Hacker.
She is survived by her loving husband, Martin Lee Smith of Durant; her daughters, Amy Price (Danny) of Blanchard and Crystal Miller (Donnie) of Chickasha; her treasured grandchildren, Megan Price, Alexis Adams (John), Morgan Hayes (Ty), and Kayden Usrey; and her great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Oaklen Adams. She is also survived by her sister, Donna Clark (Dan) of Michigan.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Embassy Suites, Norman, Oklahoma. In honor of her birthday, her family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and cherish her memory.
