David Kennedy Smith

David Kennedy Smith
April 23, 1949 ~ 2020

David Kennedy Smith, 71, of Edmond, OK was born April 23, 1949 in Duncan, OK. Parents were Donald and Ann Gains Smith.

He is survived by his brother, Bruce Smith, sister, Susan Mays and his sweetie Robin Trumble.

David retired as Director of Income Tax at the Oklahoma Tax Commission after 30 years of service. David had a love for sports cars, enjoyed cooking, bar-b-que judging and loved his music and wine, but most of all he loved his big, beautiful back yard (he called his kingdom). He always enjoyed visiting with his extended family and cooking out on his big green egg grill. He was known for his wit and humor, he will be truly missed by all.

There will be a viewing on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 2-8 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home 601 S. Kelly in Edmond.
