Celebration of Life Service for Dean Smith, 69, of Enid, will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in Anderson-Burris Chapel.

Visitation with family will be Tuesday, 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., at Anderson-Burris. www.andersonburris.com

Arnold Dean Smith
June 13, 1952 ~ December 23, 2021

Celebration of Life Service for Arnold Dean Smith, 69 of Enid, will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 2:00 pm in Anderson-Burris Chapel with Danny Smith officiating. Visitation with the family present will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service.

Dean was born on June 13, 1952 in Deming, New Mexico to Jud and Georgia Smith and passed away
on December 23, 2021 in Enid.

He grew up in El Paso, Texas and graduated from Canutillo High School in El Paso. On June 2, 1972, Dean married Jeannie Medders and they made their home in Enid in 1973. He worked for many years in the heating and air business. Dean played his bass guitar with the Branders. He loved to watch his grandchildren play sports. Dean always had a good story to tell and enjoyed traveling. His entertainment was going to the casinos. Dean was always available to help and never said no to anyone. He could fix anything. There was always a smile on his face.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jud and Georgia Smith; siblings, Val Smith, Joyce Letourneau, and Denise Smith.

Dean is survived by his wife, Jeannie; children and spouses, Dean and Traci Smith and Kerrie and Tom Kelly; grandchildren, Taryn and Tyler Smith, Conor, Reese, Riley, and Katelyn Kelly; sisters and their husbands, Renee and Landis Fuksa and Karen Smith and Chuck Tiessen; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to OMRF-Pancreatic Cancer.
