Rusty Ray Smart

June 3, 1968 ~ January 15, 2018

Rusty Ray Smart, 49, died Monday, January 15, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 2:00pm at Nowata First Church of God. Cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home. 

Rusty Was born June 3, 1968 at Nowata, OK. to John Frank and Betty June (Burton) Smart Sr. He was raised in received his education at Alluwe, OK. graduating Alluwe High School.

He later attended Rogers State University at Claremore, where he received an Associate's Degree in Electronics, and the attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics. He had worked as an Electronics repair technician at his own shop in Nowata, and later for Lockheed Martin in Tulsa for a few years.

His Hobbies were hunting and fishing.

Rusty is survived by his mother Betty Smart of Alluwe, his brother John F. Smart Jr. of Alluwe, two sisters, Tresa Smart Brown of Glenpool, and Selena Gipson of Alluwe, and a niece Cheyenne Smart of Alluwe, seven nieces and nephews, Vance Brown, Andrew Brown, Carly Franson, Jacob Martin, Jonathan Gipson, Elizabeth Gipson, and Dalgus Gipson, and four great-nephews, and one great niece.
