Fred Carroll Slimp, Jr.

February 14, 1927 ~ December 21, 2007

Fred Carroll Slimp, Jr., the son of Fred Carroll Slimp, Sr., and Leona (Grefsen) Slimp, was born February 14, 1927, in Birmingham, Alabama. He passed away December 21, 2007, in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 80 years, ten months and seven days.

Fred was married to Mary Jane Gaultney in Chicago, Illinois on January 28, 1977. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict.

His parents and two sons, David and Jerry Slimp, preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, Mary Jane Slimp of Westville, OK., two daughters; Marjo Lee and Christy Ashley, three sons; Jeffrey Scott, Scott Thurman and Steven, 10 grandchildren and a host of friends and loved ones.

Arrangements were made by Hart Funeral Home of Westville, OK.
