Hendrix, OK- Steven Earnest Sinor was born Monday, August 5, 1957 in Denison, Texas to Earnest Sinor and Shirley (Skinner) Sinor. Steven departed this life on Monday, April 27, 2026 from Texoma Medical Center in Denison at the age of 68.
Steven was raised and attended schools in Kemp and Achille. He was employed as a plumber most of his life. Steven enjoyed spending time with his family, church family and grandkids. He was a member of the Kemp Baptist Church.
Steven was preceded in death by his father, Earnest Sinor; brother, James “Bruce” Sinor; and grandparents, Cletus B. Sinor and Beulah V. Sinor, and Bidge B. Skinner and G. Gertrude Skinner.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Sinor of Hendrix; a sister, Marcia Sinor of Calera; sons, Chance Sinor and his wife Brooke of Kemp, and Logan Sinor and his wife Sarah of Achille; a daughter, Jorgia Wood and her husband Donnie of Kemp; grandchildren Christian Hull, Jett Sinor, Ace Sinor, Dempsey Wood, Lawson Sinor, Ian Wood, Saylor Sinor, and Colson Wood; a niece, Hannah Madrid and her husband Dewayne of Durant; and a nephew Sam Stevenson of Caney.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 1, at Kemp Baptist Church in Kemp, Oklahoma. Pastor Roger Speers will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chance Sinor, Logan Sinor, Donnie Wood, Christian Hull, Jett Sinor and Sam Stevenson.
Steven’s family will receive friends on Thursday, April 30, from 5-7 PM at Brown’s Funeral Home in Durant.
