Mom was raised on a little farm outside of Dumas Texas, she made lifelong friends and met the man of her dreams. Though, she didn’t not marry him right away. Our mom was an amazing seamstress, and a true crafter at heart. She always said she was a jack of all trades and a master of none. She was an ear when you needed her to listen and arms when you needed to be held. She was generous, kind and loving. She loved her husband, kids and grandkids more that words could ever express. Daddy was her world! Life revolved around him. She was a natural born grandmother and only knew how to spoil her grandchildren. Her life was full and we are full of fond memories spending summers camping and boating, Late night Domino’s run with squeeze cheese on New year’s Eve. How bad I wish we could wait an hour for her gravy now, I know it bugged some of us then but it was just the way she did it and it was so HER, and we will always miss it. I know we will never walk by another piece of wood with a knot in it and not think of mom. She found the beauty in things others passed by. When you joined our family, became a friend or whatever the case may be, then you were family; you were a grandson, a son or sister forever. There were never any limitations just LOVE. I remember long car rides at night and we would sing the whole way, because of her I know we all have found a love for Life. One of her favorite scriptures is in Psalms. It says Raise up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. She and my dad have raised up many children in the way we should go, and I know that she is proud of the children she has raised.

Mom, We love you. There are not enough words to express our love for you. There are not enough tears that could be shed to show how much you will be missed. We know you will look down from Heaven and be with us and we will all have a piece of you in our hearts. Rest in Peace our sweet mother.

"Your mother is always with you. She is the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street. She is the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick, the Fragrance of life itself. She’s the cool hand on your brow when your not feeling well. She’s your breath in the air on a cold winters day. She’s the sound of rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow; she is Christmas morning. Your mother lives inside your laughter. She’s the map you follow with every foot step you take. She is your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you; not time, not space... Not even death." Unknown
