Nita F. (Vaught) & Robert E. Singleton

Nita F. Singleton, 90, passed away on September 30th, 2017.

Robert E. Singleton, 92, passed away October 23, 2017.

Nita was born December 28,1926 in Muskogee, OK where she grew up.

Bob was born December 28, 1924 in Ardmore, Ok. He grew up in Muskogee also. Bob served in the Navy during World War II.

Bob and Nita were married on February 28,1947. Together, they successfully owned and operated several businesses in Broken Arrow and Fort Gibson Lake areas.

They are survived by two sons, Jim Singleton (Debbie) of Broken Arrow and John D. Singleton (Leigh) of Oklahoma City. They are also survived by four grandchildren (Michael Singleton, Steven Singleton, John E. Singleton, and Laney Singleton) and seven great grandchildren; Bob's brother, Paul Singleton of Amarillo, Tx. and sister, Susie Hinkle of Muskogee, Ok. and numerous nephews and nieces. 

Nita was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Ardis Vaught of Muskogee, and her brother Don Vaught and sister Bobbie Lou Dolan.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Belle Singleton of Muskogee, and brother and sisters, Rosemary Dunn, David Singleton, Marguerite Fuller, Anna May Robinson, June Best, Leona Gorman and Joy Singleton. 

Arrangements for a private memorial service have been entrusted to Floral Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery.
