Jennie Katherine "Katie" Simpson
June 19, 1935 ~ Feb. 2, 2013

ENID, Okla. - A memorial service for Jennie Katherine "Katie' Simpson, 77, of Carmen, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Carmen Christian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Kirk Board, assisted by Scott Harrison.

Katie was born June 19, 1935, in Bristow, Okla., to Wesley and Jennie (Fish) Hamand and died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, in Enid.

Surviving her is husband, Don of the home; sons, Greg, Eric, Vincent and Max Sheik; stepsons, Kenneth and Darrell Simpson; stepmother, Violet Hamand; half-brothers, William, John, George, Charles and Richard Hamand; and half-sister, Katie Hamand Woodall. Also surviving Katie are her five beloved grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Verna Thies and Jessie Peck; daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and infant sister.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Carmen Library.

Cremation was under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory, Enid.
